I enjoy giving new life to things that are left behind. Each of my lamps tells a story of survival and transformation, moving from a forgotten scrap pile to a centerpiece in your home. My designs aren't just lamps; they are unique conversation pieces that bring personality and light to your living space, with recycling an added perk.

This lamp was made from the base and top of a broken art deco light fixture and an old fire extinguisher, all salvaged from the scrap metal section at a local recycling center

Creativity meets sustainable sourcing.

All parts incorporated into my lamps are objects picked up at flea markets, yard sales and recycling centers. For the most part, they are keep as found - scratches, dings and all. I believe that the "used" condition of the items adds character to the finished product, supporting the old adage that "One woman's trash is another woman's treasure."

Custom Crafted with Safety in Mind

Each lamp begins with vision. Sometimes the design evolves from the objects themselves. I carefully select each part to complement the base, using special tools and fabricated connections to bring them together. I incorporate as much recycled material as possible, The process is one of experimentation, building and rebuilding until I get it right. It is a labor of love and patience.

The sockets, wiring and shades are chosen to fit the vintage aesthetic of the lamp body, but the internal electrical components are all new. All lamps are tested to ensure that they are functioning safely and efficiently when using LED lightbulbs.

My lamps are meant to be unique pieces that won't end up in a landfill. By using durable materials and imaginative designs, I create lighting that is as aesthetically pleasing as it is functionable. Why settle for generic department store lamps when you can have one from Whatever Turns You on!
